Stampings

We specialize in Progressive, Deep Drawn and Compound stampings. Our experience allows us to produce parts with complex geometries for tolerance critical applications. Stampings are made from all types of materials, as well as plated, galvanized or painted surfaces. Finishing services are comprised of vibratory deburring & plating needs, as in RoHS compliance, nickel, zinc, black oxide, and anodization.

Progressive
Progressive StampingProgressive stamping is for the more complicated part. In a progressive die, product is manufactured by feeding a strip of steel through the die set where in different intervals various procedures can be performed as the product “progresses” through the die set. As the press cycles up and down each station in the tool can perform a different action such as piercing, counter-sinking, swedging, coining, forming and sometimes, tapping.

Deep Drawn
Deep Drawn toolingDeep Drawn tooling is used for components that are typically elongated and round in shape. Working much like a progressive die, deep drawn tooling will commonly start by forming a large version of the finished product that is repeatedly drawn smaller and longer through a series of tooling to achieve the appropriate size and shape at which point it can be cut off and ejected from the tool.

Compound
Compound toolingCompound tooling manufactures components in a one-hit process utilized for simple shapes or to create flat blanks. A compound die uses spring pressure from below combined with the force of the press above which assists in maintaining tight tolerances and overall flatness. In more complicated compound tooling, small forms and counter-sinks can be achieved while maintaining other critical dimensions.
